Relationships, love, money and power, have
a different meaning in today’s South Africa, compared to a decade or two
decades ago – moreover, the past patriarchal century.
Women are proclaiming their ‘God given’ feminine power and are not
scared to put it to action. And women are taking their position as leaders and
engineers of social change – a not so intimidating democratic right.
However, some women have aimed to achieve relationship, love, money,
and power autonomy to a much alarming contempt to men’s existence in their
lives. A concerning position for men who support women’s rights and women in
totality as equal partners in every sphere of society and social standing.
A Loving relationship and family relationship is hard to form these
days due to dynamic shift to social attitudes towards men being manly in their
loving and family relationships - mostly attributed to money in the
relationship, which filters to power in both relationships.
When a man exhibit signs of being manly, they are either showy or
abusive in nature, forgetting that this is a man’s inherent nature.
In a loving relationship: Building a life with anyone is a complex,
transcendent reality and personality altering experience. To have a life with
anyone, one has to be content with their partner as their lover – have contentment
for their love and their relationship.
If one is not content with their relationship and partner, nothing
will ever be achieved because this will lead to a very complicated existence in
that relationship - leading to communication breakdown.
At times this leads to a ‘screaming-contest’ when issues are raised,
most likely a physical duel.
There are women who, without being stereotypical, will at the hands
of money and power, become vindictive abusers of children and men themselves. And
equally have no regards to children and men’s rights.
Democracy is still an infant to the South African mind and
practicality, hence you find women that see a chance to autonomy as a means of
bulldozing every man’s peace and democratic right as nonsensical.
Women must remember this: An abusive man is a man that will not
allow you to be yourself at any particular time and space when they are around
you. An abusive man, will always want to control you sexually. An abusive man,
will always control who you associate with and places you go to.
To my brother in South Africa and around the world; if she has money
and power over you and thinks you “NOTHING”, walk away. Do not perpetuate the scourge
of abusive behaviour. Don’t lose yourself pride and dignity. Keep it intact. Walk away.......
