A GOOD BOOK
Like a good title of a book;
You’ve caught my eye
I have read the first page;
You've captured my mind
Should I read on?
I want to know the theme
You fill my heart
I cannot put this book down
The first chapter is so eloquently
written;
I want to know you
A sentence for a sentence
Each metaphor, syllable, euphemism
A tale - the lady that you are;
I wonder about the brackets
Your body so marvelously beautiful
Forget about the exclamation marks
I want to scream your name!
I cannot put this book down
And maybe, just maybe
Not a day too late
I will proclaim
My deepest affection
For thee
This Good Book
